i have no power but i dont think this belongs here.. and i think a thread should be longer than a sentence... so please take more time when making threads, or just stop making them...

anyways all that aside i give it a 10/10.. because i see very little flaws, the only reason it is not flawless is because every game has at least one flaw.. but its not enough to make this game anything lower than a 10...

I think this game is one of the best i have ever played. From the first time i played it, i was hooked... so i give it a 10/10... Not only because of the addictive gameplay but also that there is so many ways to go with your character, and how you can "live" your life... (if that makes ANY sence)

I would have to give it a 8.5 for two reasons

1. Account Space
- After playing for only 3 months (tonight at 3am! w00t) I've already made 3 level 20 characters and deleted a level 17 Ele. At this rate, by the end of August, I'll have 4 level 20s (max). Then what? make my characters better? unlock skills? It can only go so far with little character space. And PvP for me is useless with this little space. Make 6 spaces in an expansion (or, one for each character class). Diablo II has 8, EverQuest has 8, Ragnarok has 9 and Neverwinter has unlimited (tho NWN is pushing it for offline storage of characters).

2. Armor? It's too easy to get you're maxed armor in Droknar's by the time you get there. Armor and weapons are gifts from the game and shouldn't be able to be brought so easily. Runes are great for upgrades but there needs to be something more (ex. upgrades as Weapons do).

Granted, this is a game for the player who doesn't play games as much as the hardcore players. But as a gamer from EverQuest, Ragnarok, Diablo II and Neverwinter Nights, I can say (for myself) that this is just too short.

I give it an 8.5 / 10

1. Ignore just doesnt work. There are alot of stupid people out there and I really get tired of listening to them in chat

2. Seriously need some sort of trading venue to cut down on the chatter in the towns and see #1.

3. I dont like that I cannot have one of each class, so I have to agree with the account size.

4. I love the way they have actually linked the PvP and PvE worlds together. They took something that really allows people who want to kill others and those who don't to actually semi-rely on it.

I give it an 8/10, the enemies, quests, missions and such are a little repetitive, and the social stuff (trading, chatting, etc.) can be a bit lacking, and the economy is bit...off right now, mostly minor problems though. All the innovative skills, the awesome PvP, the graphics more than makes up for it though. It has a few flaws, but it's still an awesome game.

Wait. You have started 12+ threads about this game including some suggestions to improve the game and posting newb stories when you don't even own the game? That is just wrong.

8 out of 10.

GW is the most addictive game I've played since Starcraft. The graphics are beautiful. That it doesn't feel like a grind is nice. I like that the accumulation of wealth is completely voluntary; you don't HAVE to have the uber-l33t expensive stuff to be competitive.

After Lion's Arch, it's a little linear IMO. More side quests would help a lot to flesh it out. At times, especially in the desert, the killing of difficult monsters over and over again over long treks got tedious.

All in all, it's still the best game I've played in a long time.

I agree. 8/10 is my rating as well.

As I see, 10/10 is absolutely perfect with no room for improvement.

For me guild wars is also lacking character space. Upping it to 6 would be a nice improvement, as it would allow for one of each character class. As for PvP only, well, I guess 7 would work as well or you could miss 1 character class.

In addition, I dislike the lack of quests after ascalon. In ascalon, there are so many quests you can do for so many different people. I remember having 4-5 quests in JUST the regeant valley alone, not counting the many I had to do near Piken's Square. When you get to Yak's bend, there are still quite a few quests, but onwards after that, you really only see missions.

9,5/10

For some reason this game is very addictive. I played a lot of games but I never was this addicted to a game (maybe Elite in the Commodore 64 days). It's so big. There is so much to know and so many strategies and tactics for playing the game. The graphics are good and run more smooth than I expected. The AI of computer controlled characters is good too. The idea of playing the game in the beginning and going back later when it's destroyed is also quite special. There is a real story-line in the game that keeps it interesting.

A few minor complaints are the extremely irritating lag, which could destroy a key battle. I also would like to have more communication capabilities with my pet. And why in the world is it not possible to swim in this game?! In other words, more possibilities in freedom of movement and communication with computer-controlled characters would be a good improvement. For instance, sometimes I want to give an order to a computer-controlled character to stay where they are or go there.

9/10
It's a solid game that works really well co-operatively. However the cookie cutter builds, the lack of arenas, the trade spam, the gold farmers, the material trader system and prices all pull it down from a higher score.

About the trade spam: you can deactivate the trade channel through your chat window. Sure, there are people that also want to sell/buy things through the "all" channel, but not that much that it bothers me. ArenaNet did a good job with that.

I agree with the 8/10 rating.

For me, it remains to be seen if this will be the longest-running game I've ever played, but I have my doubts. I have generally preferred PvE play, but:

1. I have had a somewhat difficult time finding people with whom I enjoy playing (a lot of the players of this game take an approach I don't enjoy).

2. There are only so many environments, after which it's basically over. You can play them over again with six other classes, mixing up your secondaries, and things like that, but after the first one, the surprises are over.

However, the combat system, and the careful attention to balancing the various classes, draws me strongly to the game. It's mad fun just working your character, and finding interesting ways to work with other players, taking advantage of class combinations (and class weaknesses, in the case of your foe).

I came to this game after having spent over 3 years or so, playing Neverwinter Nights... the most time I ever spent on any one game, if that helps color how you see my view of gaming.

Will I continue to play this game when NWN2 comes out? I don't know. NWN, while you can play it as a multi-player game, has its problems that way, compared to Guild Wars. Where Guild Wars actively focuses on multi-player gaming, NWN seems more focused on single-player gaming, with several serious nods to the multi-player community.

I personally base the game on multiple aspects.

Graphics (9) - The graphics are great. Simply put.

Longevity (5) - Average. It's a great bang for my buck. I've been playing for a few months now and still find new things to do and find enjoyment. However, It's highly doubtful I'll be playing this game in a year.

Gameplay (5) - Average.

Probably my biggest gripe. First and foremost the PvE (adventure) part of the game is VERY linear. So linear that if you were to have a friend start playing 2 months after you, the only way you could play with him is to repeat everything. I also think character development sucks. Aside from spells (which is a big part of it) the only character development in terms of gearing up is Armor and Weapons. There's very limitted slots. Armor is all bought so theoretically you have 1 slot in the game (2 if you dual wield) that you equip from adventuring. That means that in the 500,000 exp points you'll earn as you pass level 20 and the thousands of mobs you kill, it's all to equip one slot (Primary/secondary). Everything else is merchant bought.

The armor system in the game isn't so great either. Everyone looks relatively the same. 90% of the warriors or xyz class look the same running around except for what color dye they've used.

Overall I'd give this game a 6 or 7. It really is a GREAT bang for your buck but it lacks scope and longterm character development. Despite the drawbacks GW does have some really neat features (Guild Halls, PvP ladder, and even though the storyline is linear...its well done). Honestly though, I'm biased. I come from the Everquest/WoW world and Guild Wars feels more like a PS2 game then a PC game after playing those mammoths. It's entertainment.
